JB> GE> After I found out I could make PaintShop convert 16-color GIFs JB> GE> (screen caps of the whole deck from MS Solitaire) into a sorta JB> GE> human-readable format (Adobe's Encapsulated PostScript) JB> Neat. I never thought of using EPS pixmaps, I was saving under all the formats, desperately hoping that at least one would look SOMEhow recognizable/translatable. I got REAL lucky. JB> but yeah it's an uncompressed format and thefore easy to read. (once JB> you figure it out) Very handy that the colors are saved in hex format (0 to F), with 0=black, 1=blue ...all the way to F=Bright White. Quick INSTR of "0123456789ABCDEF" in QB, and there's the card on the screen. JB> FWIW The deck from ms solitaire is in some DLL (I forget which) in JB> windows format. and a reasonably simple basic prog can probably read JB> that too. I just played a few games of Solitaire, did a screen cap with LView of each "group" of new cards, "cropped" each card out saved it so Paintshop could re-save it in a different format. Probably would have taked 50 times longer to do it the "easy" way via the DLL. :) Too bad John wants to use a fancy deck that needs more than 16 colors. That's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay past my programming level. * SLMR 2.1a * --- Maximus 3.01* Origin: The BandMaster, Vancouver, B.C., Canada (1:153/7715) SEEN-BY: 24/903 106/2000 120/544 123/500 140/1 153/7715 400/300 633/104 260 SEEN-BY: 633/262 267 270 285 640/954 771/4020 774/605 2432/200 @PATH: 153/7715 140/1 106/2000 123/500 774/605 633/260 285 |
