Hey Sean!
Lets just say, its so bad I did not even bother salvaging the rams's
horn exhaust manifolds off of the 327.
However, I do suspect it would be cheaper for you to buy a rebuilt long
block locally, pay a core charge than pay shipping on 1200 plus pounds of
bulky iron and still have to go through the rebuild process.
The hazzards of farm salvage is, that the items get put into "storage"
with good intentions of utilizing them. As the years drag by, those items
in storage become nuisances and get pushed out of the way (sometimes not too
gently by the front end loader) and eventually get to a point where when you
can use them, they ain't worth using. This is the same farm that houses
my dads old '62 Pickup... Needless to say, I can't bear to look at it.
Alex.
