Hey, remember me? I called Meg's BBS, left a message and when I was
replying to one from Mike, the board HUNG UP on me! That's okay, long
distance BBSing is EXPENSIVE, I love this echo but calling Ipswich is a
little much!
I tried the Union Jack where I was posting from, it didn't answer for
WEEKS...then I found out it changed its phone number, still couldn't connect
for some reason. I think this modem is on its way out. I have ordered a
686-200, which I will pick up on Friday. Wish me luck, I will be learning to
navigate my way around in Windoze. Could not get Warped on this one.
Anyway, I asked the SySop of the BBS where I have been toodling around
in a Trade Wars game if he would get Equus, and here I am! I may not be back
until I get the new computer set up, this danged modem is so unreliable...or
maybe it's not the modem, it may be the computer. It IS pretty old...it
started life as a 486.
I actually rode Dub BAREBACK down the road with some neighbors, my 7
year old neighbor Brittany rode Spot bareback with me. We did fine until Dub
decided to scare me and jig all the way home so I got off! I bet I haven't
ridden him bareback in 3 years; it was a spur of the moment thing.
You guys are gonna have to catch me up on everything I have missed. The
horses are in the front yard, in a 48 x 48 pen with two palm trees for shade
and for munching on. ;) They love it, and so do I. The houses have lots of
things for me to do on them, none exigent, but I did put an air conditioner
on the guest house last week so it'll be better than the evaporative cooler
during the monsoon season. Everything else is pretty much getting stuff the
way _I_ want it, as well as painting and patching. I am using the dressing
room on the horse trailer for a tack room, I may build something better for
later. The carriage is also being stored in the horse trailer (the
Meadowbrook) with a tarp on it to protect it from the sun.
I used one of the cameras Mike sent me to take some photos, I will have
to make sure I have everyone's address to send them to! BTW, Jean, we don't
even barbeque without your EGS anymore.
More later...gotta go read some more messages!
