Why use .Net at all??  Since .Net runs in a runtime environment and only on
Win32, why use .Net at all?  I mean why not just cut out the runtime layer
bloat and go straight to win32 programming??  At least with Java the
supposed ability to run on different platforms is what made the runtime
layer worth having at all right?
