"speration thing"?  wuzzat?

& I don't recall saying anything about deaf people doing art, but the
quote was about "deaf people can do everything except hear" and this was
the theme statement for the 1998 Deafness Awareness Day art competition.

i.e. art submissions needed to illustrate, somehow, the slogan "Deaf
people can do everything except hear."; I picture the challenge being
for the artist to show an ordinary person doing something, but to
somehow convey that s/he(the painting's subject) was deaf.

It's worse for us physically disabled people, especially those with any
sort of cognitive issues!  Some people would be downright OFFENDED by
the idea that we fuck!
