Ciao All!
I have just installed Maximus/nt passing from the OS/2 version.
The only problem I have, is that if a normal user connects himself, the
system hangs with a blue screen signaling the following problem:
STOP: 0X0000001E
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED Address FC454E36 has base at FC450000 -
SERIAL.SYS
I thought it was a configuration problem with the user files that
originated from OS/2, so I re-installed it completely using the Dos
version and then covered the executables and DLL files with the NT version.
But it did not help at all.
Temporarily I left Binkley to take the calls from my points, ignoring
the calls coming from the normal users and like this the system works
Ok.
For your information I am using Windown NT 4.0 (build 1381) with service
pack 3, on a TYAN double-pentium.
If you have any ideas on overcoming the problem I will be very grateful
since Maximus is my favourite program. :-)
BTW:
I have tried the DOS version of Maximus under NT4 and all went OK.
The problem, I presume, is in Maximus/NT.... as it is the only software
to hung up my system. I have also tried to use Maximus without the
mailer Binkley ( MAXN -W ) but when a user went on-line the system
crashed as well.
Have you got an idea?
I have the BBS down from Sunday and my user ( not my poit, as Binkley
has no problems ) are in pain.. :-)
Thank you in advance.
Paolo.
