I fell in love with the little baby rats...we too sold ours to the pet store
(actually exchanged them for lots of wood shavings).
A Severe (or Mini or brown-fronted or Chestnut) Macaw is half the size of a
normal macaw. It looks exactly like the Military Macaw but in minituare.
They are mainly green with a brown patch above his beak on his head. They've
got beautiful blue plumage in the tail and red under the wings with more red
showing up on the shoulder tip of the wing as they get older. He's also got
that blue plummage in some of his wing feathers. They have a long tail
feathers like the normal macaw. They are smaller than a crow and seagull and
bigger than a cockatiel. And even though they can get loud they aren't as
loud as a normal macaw.
