In max v2.x the first 70 lines or so of colours.ctl did permit many menu
changes directly at that point and with a quick re-silt, you were done.
In 3.x, your comment above is correct. Goto your LANG subdir and review the
file named colors.lh. It is an include file for the english.mad file that is
compiled into english.ltf. It first lists the basic colors, a few special
color-on-color selections (also helps you see how to define others if you
want to) then defines the menu, file and message headers. You do have to maid
the english.mad file and resilt....... hope that helps a bit.
