Not sure if you're talking about the "Micro" thing or what, but I play 
through the clean channel of my Marshall almost exclusivly.  I like the chunk 
sound it gets a lot better than the grind of the boost channel.  I'll use it 
for some ZZTop or the like, but everything else goes through the normal 
channel.
