How long here had been the last discussion about what is SF and what is fantasy? ;)
Well, I'm not subscribed to such echoes for too long, so I saw only one in
RU.FANTASY...

One of the opinions was that SF explains things there are, and fantasy
doesn't. But then Star Trek is fantasy, too, and almost everything is.

Currently I'm close to: fantasy has Magick or some creatures from
fairy-tales and such, SF doesn't.
I've only read one such fantasy book ("The Fire Rose" by Mercedes
Lackey) not long ago (in my observable past), most of others were SF...
Hell, Stephen King's books must be fantasy, too, I guess? Or what?
That's because, before recently, I was thinking that fantasy was just what
Tolkien did.
