Hi All,
I'm new around here, but I guess that's obvious considering the
number of posts....Its hard to hide!
I've been fooling with computers for some years now, mostly
hardware and communications oriented. So far, DOS is all I've
been able to manage (I'm a slow learner) and those "mousie"
programs are way too difficult for me to understand.... I guess
I'm missing that special mouse gene.
Here's what I'm on about today:
Someone here mentioned that there was a LYNX list, I guess that
is on the internet since I can't find it on FIDO. Can anybody
tell me where to go? (regarding LYNX, that is ... he, he.)
My emmediate problem with the program is that it redirects
some requests. . . . I really don't understand where the error
is comming from, but it is quite frustrating. I called my ISP
and they did not get the same error there. Here is what it does:
If I try to go to tvdog's site from fdisk.com, then I get
redirected to www.digimedia.com. The same happens when I enter
the URL directly ... even with a clean cache. Another example
is slashdot.org. I simply cannot get there from here! Every
time (count 'em) I get redirected to digimedia. If this is
not a LYNX problem, then it seems like a pretty serious
transgression somewhere, and I would like to follow that up.
Any suggestions?
Cheers,
Ole Juul
