I'm using the MsgEd/386 DOS version of beta 3 which works quite fine here,
no annoying bugs found so far. And with 4.30 going to be released in
several days, I think I will skip going back to beta 2 and get the new
version as soon as possible :)

Glad to hear that ! It would be a pitty not to be able to use your MsgEd
versions because of the charset stuff and the problems with the German
special characters.

The latter would be ok for me, too. But since Tobias Ernst has already
implemented FSC-0054 in his version of MsgEd, some source code exchanging
would be the best solution IMO. You won't be able to add it to the 4.30
release version scheduled for May, will you ? :)
TR> I hope you can help me with this problem, many thanks in advance !

It helped, thanks a lot !
My MsgEd documentation is a bit outdated and therefore I already had to use
the trial and error method to turn on PID support in MsgEd (the PID switch
wasn't described anywhere) :)
Greetings,
Tobias
