Agreed. I'm not much on the really expensive fish, so a few trial runs of
one or 2 fish is fine with me.
See, I'm new to the echo but not new to fish. I got my first one in 1972 and
that fish was with me until 1983 when I left for the military (found him a
good home). Goldfish are long lived. Its quite possible he is still gracing
a tank today. I was taking Latin when I got him, so named him Pax (Peace).
In 1986 I was again at a place where I could have fish, so had a tank of
goldfish.
Now it's 1996 and I again have a tank. HUGE tank. I've never had one this
size before. Its 75 gallons or so, was used for largish saltwater types by
previous owners. I've stocked it with my old trusty standby of goldfish.
I'm happy and not feeling particularily experimental on types . I just
need a pleco or two to help keep it clean.
