JAR  is  intended  for  fast  machines  with  a lot of memory.  I
compressed an old copy of the FidoNet nodelist using this command
line: JAR32 a -m4 nodelist.jar
JAR took approximately 3 minutes  to compress it on my Pentium-75
with 16 megabytes of RAM.
