The answer to your questions is based on just what you want to search for and 
upon find, rescue it.  If you are talking about missing or overdue aircraft 
then I can make many suggestions to you as I am a Mission Coordinator for 
Civli Air Patrol in the State of Texas.  I am also a State SAR alerting 
officer for missions that come to us via "Air Force Rescue Coordination 
Center at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia.  Get back and let me know more 
specifics.
