I think I'd differ with that.  Isn't it the mass of the vehicle
that would determine acceleration?  Weight is just a simple way
of measuring mass for us Earthbound types.  The only thing that
would be radically affected would be friction.  That's a fairly
small component in the elapsed time calculations...
