subject: I couldn`t resist

There's a guy up the street who put out some interesting stuff, apparently
for trash pickup. Some of the neighborhood kids had fun by picking up a
bunch of multiline phones, which I had to holler about when they ended up
all over the yard here. In addition, there's some kind of monitor, and a
couple of boxes.

I couldn't resist taking a look at the smaller of the two last night. It's
a power supply. Two outputs, apparently. One is rated at 24 volts, _10
amps_. The other is a slightly higher voltages, labeled
"charger", so this is apparently designed to provide some
battery backup.

So I snagged it. If nothing else, it should provide some very usable parts.

What the heck would you do with 24 volts? About the only stuff I have that
needs that is a whole mess of relays...
