Well, it was the less Star-Trek-ish movie and easiest to understand for
those, who are not that familiar with the characters. That is why it is so
popular amongst none-Star-Trek-fans.
But most people, who do not dislike ST, will tell you, that "ST6 - The
Undicovered Country" is the best one. And amazing how similar in some ways
to 1986 Tchernobyl, so that it is not even too ridiculous a topic the film
deals with.
