The last item I read was that ZyXEL was not going to support K56Flex as
originally announced. Instead, they were going to wait for the ITU-T
recommendation before implementing a 56K protocol. The suggestion was made
this was due to the short time between the release of K56Flex on the server
side and the ITU-T recommendation expected release. Locally a couple of ISPs
are now saying they will be testing K56Flex in August which is about 1 month
before the suggested date for the release of the final draft of the ITU-T
recommendation.
I can't remember the URL for the web page where I saw that comment but will
post it if it shows up and/or I remember it.
