Palm to the forhead moment there.  It just clicked and I remember working on
that or a similar issue with WWIVTOSS.  It had to do with replying to messages
having an empty space at the end of the person's name.  It wasn't showing up in
the message but was causing BBS systems to not match their names on personal
newscans.

That was one of the things I fixed once we tracked down what was going on.

It can process PKT files or MSG files.  It can also optionally write directly
to the WWIV message bases.  That part of the code needs to be adjusted for
modern operating systems, though since it uses "spawn" which doesn't work in
Windows 7 and above.
