 He scares the hell out of me... a basic dill with ultimate power
(like Reagan), led by true geniuses on a totally different agenda.

 Our PM is scarey too, and much more clever. He is a Politician
(capital P) whose one and only goal is to stay in power... and he's
*good* at it! He won the last election by inventing "an invasion of
the Muslim boat people," while tempting Labor to take an opposing
view, and now he's doing it again with the "Free" Trade Agreement with
the USA. He's signed up for a disastrous trade agreement that has all
the devil in the detail, too complex for voters to understand, and
poor Labor *has* to oppose but if they do they'll lose the
election and if they don't, they will betray everything they hold
dear. We need another lying bastard with no hint of scuples to lead
Labor... someone like Tony Blair.

 Is that non-political enough for you?

 Just thinking aobut the political trap that's been laid...

 I don't understand traps. If you can't win, you don't play. Why not
simply side-step the trap and postpone the treaty vote until *after*
the election? "Let the people decide..." promise to pass the treaty if
you lose the election - and then renege when you've got nothing to
lose.

 Maybe I should have given electronics a miss and gone into politics.
It sounds really easy. It's no use lying to an electron, their rules
are written in stone, by God. Politics sounds really easy, and you
don't even need a brain.
