subject: More mono

Howdy,
Since i'm on a mono kick this evening, here's some more...
I'm running an Ampeg stereo bass combo (solid state) which pushes 70 watts
RMS at eight ohms per side. I would like this amp to power a cabinet other
than the one it currently resides in, but in order to do so, i would have to
either run in stereo, or run only one side of the amp - neither of which I
want to do.
This amp has no provision for a bridged mono output, and I would like to run
the full 140 watts into a single cabinet.
What is involved in creating a bridged mono output? Is it simply a matter of
tying the two positives together (which really doesn't sound right to me), or
is there more to it than that? I'm no stranger to the soldering iron, so
unless it's *extremely* involved, i'd like to give it a shot.
Thanks for putting up with my incessant questioning...:)
Bob
