Subject: San Antonio Christmas Dinner
Fellow Federationists and friendsk,
Today was our chapter's first ever Christmas Dinner held for members and
guests. The menu consisted of turkey, mashed potatoes, candied yams,
cranberry sauce, dressing, green bean casserole, )Which we contributed)
mixed vegetables, pumpkin pie, soda, iced tea, fudge, and cookies. The
turkey was furnished by Third Coast services of Floresville Texas. This
organization does Braille transcripbion of many types of information
specializihng in textbook production. For inrformation you can contact

As all ready mentioned this was our first-ever full-blown Christmas
Dinner. In the past we held a Christmas Social whare food was perchased
from local supermarkets with chapter funds and contributions from members.
rather than repeat this same event again we decided to have the dinner as
it would be an expression of our phillosophy by challanging members to use
their cooking s
kills and creativity to prepare a dish for the dinner. We also proved
that by working together as a chapter by each member doing just a piece
of the whole project we could do much to make life better for blind San
Antonians, and for blind people around the World.
The dinner was augment4ed by Christmas Music and great holliday
hospitality. A good time was had by all.
Yours in Federationism,
Peter donahue
Secretary, Greater San antonio Chapter
national Federation of the Blind of Texas
