Yes there are. :-) The 200 was the first production version (which
Braniff had) followed by the 300, then 400 (which AA had), then 475 (for
short runways) and the stretched 500.
Some of the later versions were made in Romania, of all places. :-)
The T-tail configuration led to the loss of the two-month-old prototype
when it went into a deep stall at a high AOA. Thankfully all subsequent
T-tail aircraft benefitted from that event.
About 10-years ago an American company was offering to replace the RR
Speys with RR Tays.
