As you may know or not, the government cut funding to the
SETI (Search for Extra-terrestrial Intelligence) project.
 
Since then there has been a effort to create the 'Amateur
SETI' project, officially dubbed "Project Argus".
 
Its an ambitious project to co-ordinate upwards to
5,000 small private satellite dishes for a full sky
search for signals.
 
I belong to the official mail reflector and am currently
applying for membership. All sorts of topics are discussed
(and cussed), anything from hardware and software to
political and practical aspects of the project itself.
 
I have had several e-mail exchanges with Dr. Paul Shuch
(N6TX) about creating a FIDO sig and cross linking Fido to
the reflector. He is all for it.
 
What I need is you input. Do you want to see this come
about? Do you feel it would be worthwhile?
