It also worked fine on five or six Windows XPSP2 PCs and laptops before
this one.  I think the registry was hosed.   Anyway I reinstalled
Windows XP on the PC and all is well.  I was having problems with other
programs acting funny so I figured it would be easier to reinstall than fix
the freaking registry.
