What are you whining about? Windows doesn't have a checkbox for =
enabling or disabling wireless. It sounds like you disabled the = wireless
adapter which is the right thing to do on many laptops. It's = what I did
until I got a laptop with a switch on the case to disable the = radio.
Enabling the adapter turned everything back on. Even on the = laptop with
the switch it behaves this way. If you have a laptop that = didn't do that
then I expect you have an issue with the adapter or the = adapter driver.

Latest change I found, if you go into my network places properties and
disable wireless on a laptop, when you re-enable it the hardware is =
turned
off, what the heck is that all about? On W2K I can just enable/disable =

will and one undoes the other but with XP to enable it again I have to =

enable then go find the stupid hardware setting and change the radio =
back to
ON..
