I know you're joking but I really do have a pair of Microsoft MVP sun
glasses. I really like them too..

Back in the NT 3.1 days I saw the Microsoft vision and it was wonderful,
they really had a goal that fell in line with what the users were both
asking for and needing. Ok so 3.1 was not exactly a perfect first try, in
fact it went over like a led balloon, but I could see where we were going
and I stood up for it even when Will was ragging on them for it. Remember
me, I'm the only one who ever said Steve Barkto had a valid point, I
definitely have to have MS vision to think like that no?

Today I still see the Microsoft vision, the problem is it's no longer what
the users need or are asking for, it's what the IP industry is needing and
asking for and it's being done at the expense of the users then billed as
an "upgrade" when the new features are really nothing more than
some cosmetics and the total compromising of the advantages of things like
plug and play in favor of copyright protection that goes off if you change
the hardware.

The problem today isn't that I'm not wearing my Microsoft coloured glasses,
the problem is that some pussy calling the shots at Microsoft isn't wearing
hers.

Geo.
