subject: {Commo}`s author is dead

Hi everybody,

On occasions some news hardly reach us in time and we'd wish it was
a bit faster but there are cases where some news could take even longer,
or never hit at all. The death of Fred P. Brucker is more bad news most
people would prefer to live without, i presume; nonetheless, the nephew
of Mr. Brucker (who's trying to put order in his uncle's affairs) is now
searching for persons who once knew him personally... I became aware of
this via `COMMO-List' at YahooGroups and thought it wouldn't hurt if our
echo's users got a short notice as well. I think Mr. Brucker has earned
that much through his mastering of DOS Communications programming and we
could hope he's remembered for the quality he put into `{Commo}' and the
help this provided to the persons who needed it most or those who simply
chose to stay with DOS!!! The dedication to blind or ill-sighted users,
the ease of use and reliability put to the service of the others, it was
just not possible for me to let such an event pass under silence... :-(

                                     Salutations,

                                     Michel Samson
