 How do, David?

-> It's a little more obvious a failure modal, to be SURE! By
-> disintegration, once you're in it, it's too late to turn back, and
-> hitting the throttle, only makes that much more of a *splash*.

-> If I had my dithers, I'd try to be there in a McClairen F1, so I could
-> be sure to leave a lasting imprint.

DW> It must be possible to outrun the disintegration, by driving faster

I suppose it would equate to the falling elevator, and if you could jump
off the floor with enough force to...

A) You're in free fall, so "What floor?" Leading to B -
B) There's other stuff in free fall with you, and if the sudden stop
doesn't fix your goose, you're gonna be like Willy E. Coyote, and fixin' to
have *something* heavy fall on you after you fluke-out and live through the
first impact.

I don't have to tell you, that there is a critical point, where the vehicle
can hit the 'wall', and you can just jump out to level ground, but you'd
better NOT:

A) Being going too fast, or -
B) Being going too slow, or -
C) Be too far away from your destination, because you're about to loose traction.

... If you can't make it good, make it big.
