The Swedish station which only broadcasts for 30 minutes once a year will
be on on October 23rd.
They use a motor generator/alternator transmitter (no tubes and no
transistors).
This was the state of the art after SPARK GAP transmitters, but before
oscillators.
The generator, when rotating at the proper RPM, generates 17.5 kHz signal
of several hundred kW power to the antenna. The very low frequency carries
around the world, but you need a VLF receiver.
The GMT time is 0945 to 1015 on October 23rd
Around 0445 EST.
Get up early for a rare catch! It'll be morse code. Call is SAQ
