Oh, I don't think you should be so unyielding in your stance. Unless you
have virtually EVERY single program you ever want on your machine. However,
find just one that you want to add, and your sure to find that it won't
run unless you have Win95. ;)
I can say that pretty confidently, because I too felt that same way, until
that one program became available. Drat...! Besides, when your workplace
changes over, it's pretty hard to use two different OS's (one at home, and
one at work), when one seems to be pretty much commonplace today.
Resistance to change is always unnerving. However, I'm sure you'll find
the transition to be a rather smooth one. Most people I've talked to, find
that they miss the old File Manager which was available on Win 3xx the
most. Fortunately, for those who upgraded their systems rather than install
the new version of Win95 can very easily use their old favorite, File Mgr.,
by making a few minor adjustments.
Go to your Windows dir/folder find the file called "Winfile," drag & drop
it onto your start button, and there it is! Complete with the familiar icon
and all. Once you start it, you can set it up just like it was when you
used Win 3.xx.
Sincerely,
Michael Sharon
