You're given the option of purging messages by date or number of messages. 
I like to do them by date, with a couple of areas not of interest to me
being purged daily and the rest every three days, as I explained before. 
If memory serves, there is a setting in D'Bridge that will allow the
tossing and purging to occur whenever mail is received.  I'll get back to
you on that.
