Certainly does,  and in sneaky ways.

Intolerance eg;  in war and peace, timing is everything - but not 
to those raised in neither - the only TV station here to attempt 
to follow Deep Impact's live feed from NASA kept at it up to some 
10 seconds from impact - and then went to a commercial break !  
When the presenter took us back to mission control's evident 
jubilation after 14 ads,  her only comment was that `everything 
must have worked to plan'.

Makes all my new aches and pains inconsequential, that does...

I'll nuke the channel today.
