Hi Troy,
I'm close to NYC, but in NJ. I may get a lot of action on some frequencies
from both NYC and NJ police or fire. I just want to be able to squelch out
one or the other. A friend has told me that I would want to be able to do
this in my area. I'm not sure yet. My wife has bought me the RS 2042
scanner. She won't let me play with it until after xmas though :(
Tell me more about the scanner mod. handbooks. where would I get a copy
of this? Also, what newsletters are out there?

My hands still work pretty good considering the abuse they take. I might
consider making some changes depending on how well I pick up signals with
the new scanner.
Thanks,
