For BR> DEFs dated Feb 24th seem to fix the problem (works here). I did read your follow-up, Ben. Do you scan in native DOS regularly? The reason I ask is because I haven't been doing so, very often, lately (but I have a bootable CD-RW with DOS versions of VirusScan, F-Prot, and an older NAV ready to go at the first hint of trouble). Now that I think of it, I'm really overdue for a good, old-fashioned 'secure scan'. And, after reading about your recent experience, I should add Native DOS Update Testing to my regimen. I'd hate to run into a 'surprise', when trying to repair a compromised system. Thanks again for the very timely info..
