This is something I never have heard of but if you are having a good battery
this shouldn't be necessary. Only if you only drive for a short distance to or
from your work every day. Then the battery never will be fully loaded.

All contacts and the solenoid are aldready optimized so there is no waste.
The problem is to turn the engine including all its components like the generator,
waterpump, oilpump aso. and doing all this takes much power that the battery
have to provide to the starter.
