Flailing away at Derrick!
While reading the mail, wispering this:
DN> Is anyone using this combo?
DN> Speedeasy motherboard and an AMD 200 MMX CPU.
DN> It automatically detects a 166 whereas it *is* a 200 MHz chip. If I set
it
to
DN> 200 manually my boot on CONFIG.SYS will hang just after installing the
netw
ork
DN> card. Can't go any further. So I reset it to 166 and all is happy.
Perhaps either a mis-labeled CPU chip (does happen once in a
while) or a clock jumper mis-placed for the 200mhz speed, that is
correct for the 166? Perhaps the MB doesn't like the 200mhz
speed?
Just thoughts.... :)
