I don't know, but it bugs me no end. The better software is written for
OS/2 and you can find hordes of it if you know where to look. I heard
awhile back that a big chain store in the states has OS/2 software
available on their web site, but just try to find it in any of their
stores.
I suppose if the DOJ is looking the other way when MS is organizing a
monopoly, a number of factors come into play.
If you're the DOJ, you's have to ask yourself some questions:
(1) Should we put the brakes on them now or wait for them to get big enough
so we can greet them with higher fines? (2) Does the public really, really
care and how is their perspective of us going to change? (3) Are we going
to perform a public service or be self-serving according to our own
political whims and agendas?
BUT, MS is still receiving FREE advertising because they are all over the
network news. UGH!
Regards,
Roger
