At first I did an upgrade install, but then I decided to start clean and reinstall. That was probably a week later. I didn't immediately reactivate because I thought it would be a good idea to wait until I was sure the new motherboard and installation was working acceptably before reactivating to avoid possibly having to reactivate a second time. So I waited as long as possible, and now the grace period expired. As it happens, I am having some difficulty with the new motherboard (an ABIT VT7) spontaenously rebooting every few days (both Windows and Linux, Linux more frequently). I am already dreading what will happen when I try to replace the motherboard yet again.
