Interfaith is a lot of fun and USUALLY a mellow place - when it's not,
some excellent moderators return it to the status quo very quickly
indeed. I think you'll enjoy it.
.
re - growing up is optional (Tag-line) -best news I've had all day.
.
So how is life in the UK? There is something I have always wanted to
know, in the UK in meetings do you drink as much coffee as at USA AA
meetings - or do you folks do tea? (I'm betting on the latter)
.
One thing I've noticed about recovery is that wherever I've gone in
this country, the essence is always the same - even though the
structures and formalities may be slightly different. It's nice
because wherever one goes, there are friends - one of the advantages of
being in recovery, in my opinion.
.
I have a fond place in my heart for your country. My Dad was stationed
there during WW2 and has told me so much about it. I'd love to go and
try those meetings some time - but I'd have to make my beverage herbal
tea, as I can't drink regular tea or coffee. In fact this is what I do
hear, bringing my own herbal tea bags, and that is what got me
wondering - one day I said to myself that I bet it would be a lot
easier to get plain hot water for tea at a British meeting.
.
Don't mind me if I'm rambling. I have the flu and I'm not even making
sense to myself today.
