        Well thing is coming along, there is good news and bad news ,-)

        But first I'll like to thanks alot of pepoel for there help and
support in developing msged. Both by contributing the code, ideer, and help
on othere levels like dokumentation (yes it looks like we god a new doc for
the next version .-). thanks to



 Frank, Roger, Jack, Jack, Steven, and many more the help.

        Lets take the bad news first.

BADNEWS

        As it looks at the moment the next releas of msged will only be in
dos 16 and 32-bit. We do expect a OS/2 version to bee released shortly
after, _but_ we can say anything about the windows version.

        There will not be support for JAM-base in the next version. (But we
are working on it, and expect the next releas to support JAM-base).


GOODNEWS

        We have killed alot of the bug in beat 3, this include most
lastread bug (at the moment there is still a bug the lastread and
personal-mail-scan-in-all-areas. This time we have done alot for closed
beta testing on the program before releasing it.
this doesen't mean there ain't any bug, but we hope we found the worst of
them .-)         Here is a quick and short list over that is happen from
4.20 beat3 to msged 4.30. Please bear the me if there is something missing,
and my spelling errors, I hope you can undestand me anyhow.

+ Renumber of Fido/Opus *.msg files. By pressing Ctl-R in a Fido/Opus

- Squish messagebases are now "locked" when the user is reading messages,
  to increase access speed. ie. if the user is reading messages in
  MSGED_ECHO, Msged will lock that area until the user returns to the
