    I worded that incorrectly -- should have read called the vet and gave 
BUTE (as instructed on the phone from the vet).

    He's doing OK now ...... fever and symptons ran about 4 days (Dr Moore 
said 4-5 days) ..... Doc said it was the flu but X never got the classic 
runny nose ..... it was a wild 3-4 days ..... I hosed him down when the fever 
was high and then wiped him down ..... twice a day the injections of 
penicylin ...... Bute 2 times a day (he HATED that) ... of course I went out 
to the barn umpteen times a day and night "checking" on him ...... sure glad 
it's all overwith now!!
