I use Motor Man Matched Sanyo 1700 SCR's 6 cell packs Since I am not a 
professional racer... I could care less about $20 for 25s more runtime... I 
use a TEKIN BC67 Peak Charger.... Awsome little dandy..

motor # 114...  I've only seen it in Tower Hobbies...  and I bet I can find

My strategy is pure voltage....  Get your circuitry resistance down as far as 
you can...  My setup is as follows....
ALL WIRING is 13Gauge Silver Strand Wire from LiteSpeed ALL Plugs are 
Super-cons(tm) by LiteSpeed...(Though I recomend Deans
     Ultra Plug... Litespeed is the easiest of the best connectors) Speed 
Control is the TEKIN G12(tm) which has the lowest (ties for
     lowest) electrical resistance
Solder is SUPER-7 Solder(tm) by LiteSpeed which is a Non-corrosive rosin
     flux core solder containing NO Lead... composition is 7% silver -
     93% tin with a melting point of 525F Motor Heatsink (probably key 
feature) is a Litespeed Heatsink...  THE
     BEST Heatsink out there.... Although many may find it hard to
     believe...  this puppy barely goes lukewarm after one full
     blown joy ride and just classifies as warm after I have dumped
     3 packs straight with my car.......  This goes for my motor (11T
     Triple Kinwald) as well....
Motor Brushes are your standard 737 modified brushes... though I really
     wanna try the new hollow silver brushes...
Gearing is down to 8.31 and pinion is lightweight gold titanium alloy. All 
ball bearings in car... including gearbox... (working on Ball
     Differential though)
I guess that just about covers my awsome runtime...  BTW weight is around 3.5 
lbs. w/o battery
