Tokyo Disneyland operator Oriental Land Co has signed a contract with
a subsidiary of Walt Disney Productions  to build the 250
billion yen Tokyo Disney Sea, which will be built on a tract of about
396,000 square meters adjacent to Tokyo Disneyland east of the
capital.
This is exciting news for fans of Tokyo Disneyland who just got their
very own Mickey's Toontown.  The Tokyo Disney Sea project includes
some incredible thematic elements including an area called American
Waterfront which is scheduled to have a very "normal" looking
skyscraper which turns out to be a new version of the Tower of Terror.
Also included in plans are a "Journey To The Center Of The Earth"
attraction, the Arabian Coast, featuring new attractions and
attractions based on "Aladdin", and also an area with "Little
Mermaid" themed entertainment including thrill rides.
