Personally, I'm not too worried about a smog retro-fit, as far as I am
concerned at this moment, its a matter of having what the vehicle had when
it was built.

Camaros, dark in color (the ones I've seen) Lights in the windows.
And of course they have their fleet of "undercover" taurus cruisers
patrolling the highways around GTA.
I doubt they're goading anybody into racing, since they're doing traffic
enforcement they are in full uniform. They just want to blend in so you
can't spot them at a distance.
Here in London a few summers ago there was a cop (in casual attire) goading
folks into street races with a white mustang. With regular patrol cars
strategically utilized.

What kind of tranny swap have you done? Tranny type (original and
replacement)? What kind and year of vehicle?
