I downloaded a tutorial yesterday and I tend to agree with you. There are a
few nice things that 'tidy-up' the C language but I fail to see the
advantages of this object orientated approach (OOA). At first I thought the
class construct could be useful but later realized it didn't really offer
anything in addition to C and indeed it offered some significant
disadvantages. Perhaps I will learn to appreciate the subtleties of C++ and
the OOA with time but I think the improvements offered by C++ do not justify
the overheads it incurs.
