Heck, I do, too. He seemed to be the perfect answer when it was
obvious that Palmeiro was looking for a place to go. I'd like to see
him stay. What that would take, though, is for Will to take far less
money and recognize the fact that he is an aging veteran, and his
greatest contributions would be as a part time player or DH. Will is
apparently not ready to admit these things yet.

>>Palmer... I liked Dean, too, but I think I like Goodwin better.
Goodwin is going to develop into exactly what the Rangers need. He
gives us a consistancy in CF that we have not had in several years
(since Otis Nixon), with speed.

>>I'm afraid I don't know any of them.
Sele is a starting pitcher that has really good stuff, but in the past
has rattled easily and has given up the big inning far too often.
Hassleman, who caught him last year in Boston, says that he has better
stuff than he showed last year. A solid starter. Brandenberg was here
a couple of seasons ago, and was traded to Boston. He was injured last
year early, was rusty when he came back, but finished strong. While
here, he was a young rookie that threw hard, but lacked consistancy.
Perhaps he has matured a little, too. Melvin really wanted him back.

Me, too, for pretty much the same reasons. But, I hated them when they
were a poor team, also.

I forget, but I will find out and repost.
