* EleBBS Support List Nope, it's still present. Only if I try to log on to any of the eleservers from another machine on the network, I have to wait about 30 seconds or so before connections are completed to the point that I can actually do anything. It was suggested that the issue was dns lookup time, but I'm not sure and I certainly can't be the only person with 2 boxes... Can anyone replicate this? It effects the telnet, news and ftp servers with my configuration. Only if I connect to a server from the bbs box using localhost or 127.0.0.1 does everything respond promptly. I guess it's not too bad since it doesn't effect users, but it's annoying as heck for me. Should I create a debuglog? -----Original Message----- From: Shurato Hidega [mailto:shurato{at}shurato.net] Sent: Monday, June 26, 2006 10:30 AM To: elebbs{at}thebbs.org Subject: RE: RES: EleBBS: elebbs dns fix * EleBBS Support List Cool. The DNS fix lets me telnet in from within my network without it sitting for about 30 seconds trying to do a RDNS lookup. I'm not sure if anyone else was having this problem, but it is resolved now. _______________________________________________________________ --- Internet Rex 2.29* Origin: The gateway at The Snake (2:280/4312.101) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 280/4312 774/605 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
