The person who keeps tab on the committee in general and makes sure they
remember to do extraneous things like eat or sleep. I also wander about
the convention looking for bugs and reporting them to whoever can deal with
them. The sort of thing most of the committee hasn't TIME to do.

So's Monkey. (chuckle). Kwan Yin means to send scriptures of
enlightenment to the East (China/Japan), and summons pilgrims from there to
pick them up in the West (India). It takes the first half of the book to
tell us all about one of them (Monkey; who is quite a character in more
senses than one), the second to follow the journey. Very Buddhist. The
book's a classic, though this is the first time I've actually gotten around
to reading it, mostly because I've been watching bits of the anime series
"Sayuki" which is based on it.

Three somebodys - Mercedes Lackey, Eric Flint and Dave Freer, book entitled
"The Wizard of Karres". It starts out where the first book
ended, with the silver eyed baby vatch causing trouble, and like the first
book proceeds in directions rich and strange. Nice job.
I've got all of Schmitz' works as reprinted by Baen Books awhile back, some
in dead tree editions, all in electronic format.
Bye!
